关于Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination, 中文译为目的地想象（DI），是一项旨在培养青少年实际创新能力的国际性教育项目，其寓意无限的想象力和创造力。该项目的旗舰赛事要求团队由5-7个学生组队，选择五大年度团队挑战之一进行解题。团队挑战会要求团队在有限的经费，有限的准备时间下完成规定的挑战要素，并将所有要素组合在一起形成一场8分钟的舞台短剧。除此以外，团队还会在比赛现场完成一道只有在比赛时才会知道的即时挑战，并在规定的时间内完成指定的任务。
Destination Imagination, a program to educate teenagers’ creativity. Its name means infinite creativity and imagination. This program required a 5-to-7-member team picks an annual challenge to solve. Team Challenge required students to include all required challenge factors with budget requirement and preparation time into an 8-minute performance. Other than team challenge, team is also required to complete an Instant Challenge, which would be released when team arrived the tournament. Team will solve the Instant Challenge in required time by completing the tasks.

今年由于全球新冠疫情肆虐，DI在20年来首次将赛季迁移到线上，并提供了全新的挑战赛题模式。团队将在现代信息技术和剪辑技术的帮助下，发挥他们的想象力和团队合作能力，创作一段5分钟的影片。团队还需要在指定的48小时内完成线上发布的即时挑战。他们要在不打破社交距离的情况下，在线上以一人一视窗的方式完成规定任务。
Due to the COVID Pandemic, DI has changed the tournaments to online by the first time in 20 years and provided the different kinds of challenges. With the help of information technology and video editing, team may use their creativity, imagination and teamwork to create a 5-minute video. Team also need to complete the online released Instant Challenge in 48 hours. They need to complete the tasks with the requirement of social distancing.DI上海青少年创新思维竞赛活动，作为DI在上海的地区选拔赛，在这个赛季吸引了全市199支队伍的参与，其中我校派出了两个团队分别参加了艺术类挑战：混音壮举和工程类挑战：经久耐用，并获得了不俗成绩。In this challenge season, DI Shanghai tournament has 199 teams to participate. And Living Word Shanghai has 2 teams to participate, which one for Fine Art Challenge: Epic Remix, and another for Engineering Challenge: Build to Last. They both got the excellent awards.

来自于美国新泽西州的美籍华裔，曾就读于伦斯勒理工学院 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute，并在3年内获得了机械工程和数学的双学士。
Weston Fong, a Chinese-American from New Jersey, USA, studied at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and obtained a double bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics within 3 years.
目前担任数理统计课程，AP统计课程及工程设计课程的授课老师，并兼任美高11C班班主任。同时也担任马桥校区的学生会及数学校队指导老师，组织学生参加各级各类的数学比赛，包括澳大利亚数学竞赛，美国高中生数学建模竞赛，美国数学竞赛等。Weston老师从初中开始就参加DI赛事。
He returned to Shanghai due to the pandemic and joined Living Word Shanghai. He is currently an instructor for Statistics & Probability course, AP statistics course, and Engineering Design course, as well as the homeroom teacher of 11C. At the same time, he also serves as the advisor of the student union and math school team in Maqiao campus, organizing students to participate in various math competitions at all levels, including the Australian Math Contest, High School Student Mathematical Contest in Modeling, and American Math Contest.

该挑战要求团队自创音乐和歌词以转述一本已出版的著作中的全部或部分内容，并以1段包含三种拍摄手法和一套自创戏服的5分钟的音乐录影带（MV）。玫瑰星云选择了《假如给我三天光明》作为要转述的著作。利用无人机，云台等技术手段，在校内外多个地点取景拍摄，在克服了时间紧迫，材料不足，剪辑技术有限等障碍后，呈现出了他们的作品。他们的作品中利用钢琴和大提琴一短一长的不同音色，交叉展现出对这部作品的深刻理解，并使用戏剧手法在画面中加以深刻表现，给裁判留下了难忘的印象，最终获得挑战C高中组第五名。玫瑰星云团队成员：张岑天Cynthia，徐王燏Tiffany，吴丹华Allison，崔逸Lily，王张诗凡Grace，李婉婷Lydia。

该挑战要求团队调研建筑物的视觉艺术风格和建筑风格，并将调研的结果延伸出的4个建筑物特点融入到团队所创造的，具有两种功能的建筑中。同时，团队要求创作一个和该建筑有关的，包含两个对立面互补的5分钟故事。在呈现的故事中，要包含分屏技术的创造性运用。钢之魂成员大多由校极客社组成。利用擅长的模型制作工艺，及在工程设计课及课外所学的工程绘图知识，进行模型模拟和实际搭建。他们创造性的设计建筑的整体功能，打破了建筑物静止的概念，并将这些技能融入到整体设计当中给裁判留下了深刻印象，最终获得挑战E高中组第二名。钢之魂团队成员：翟逸夫Ian，马逍Max，徐云骢Jerry，王钰鑫Jack，王得豪Hob，施俊丞Alan。

根据2020年DI上海青少年思维竞赛规则，前六名的队伍将晋级四月下旬的2020-21赛季DI全国赛，两支团队都已重新踏上征程，全力准备全国赛。让我们一起期待他们接下来的创意！
According to the rule of 2020 DI Shanghai Tournament, the top 6 teams will be advanced to the 2020-21 DI National Tournament, which is scheduled in Late April. Both teams are preparing for it now. Looking forward to their creativity!
